The Account Executive supports the Account Team across all client needs, including positioning and creative/campaign development, consumer research, multi-media production (TV, digital, social, radio, print, OOH) and integrated communications planning.

Responsibilities/Skills Needed

  • Manage day-to-day client contact via telephone, e-mails, internal/external meetings. Be knowledgeable about all active projects and able to answer any questions.
  • Communicate with multiple clients requiring flexibility of scheduling, with the ability to prioritize and switch between brands.
  • Work with Account Planning, Creative and the Account Supervisor on development of briefs. Participate in creative briefing. Work to gain client approval (as appropriate). Follow-up with creatives to ensure work is on schedule and meets assignment requirements.
  • Facilitate creative production process and ensure deadlines are met. Obtain budget input and provide budget oversight. Record client and internal input, gain approvals/revisions.
  • Help manage communications plan execution with holistic agency partners and ensure that all tactics are consistent and on-strategy for the brand.
  • Prepare for role in meetings and coordinate with other presenters. Manage communication on logistics; ensure all materials are available and accurate. Participate in agenda setting, content, meeting flow and materials preparation.
  • Develop status reports and budgets. Ensure all critical paperwork/documents are completed and approved as appropriate.
  • Oversee all talent- and business affairs-related duties to ensure all creative is in compliance with unions and rights-holders. Keep clients informed and ensure approval of all associated costs.
  • Read trades, third-party research and all agency/client presentations. Lead analytical thinking and oversee AAE to develop competitive analysis and prepare competitive materials. Learn client’s business.
  • Maintain clear input and oversight of billing and budgets.

Requirements

  • 2 years solid advertising agency experience; one year at AE level
  • Bilingual English/Spanish Required
  • 1 year production experience, including TV, Print and Digital (Social experience is a plus)
  • Top-notch communication skills (both written and verbal/presentations)
  • Experience facilitating multi-agency communications planning is preferred
  • Packaged goods background preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills mandatory, knowledge of Keynote a plus
  • 4-Year Degree in Advertising, Communications or related field
