In this mid-level position, the employee must provide strong conceptual thinking and copywriting skills. He/she will work closely with an Art Director to provide concepts that effectively reflect marketing strategies and meet the client’s objectives. The employee is expected to push the boundaries of creative excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.  He/she must also have the ability to work with all members of the creative department as well as team members from other core departments in order to achieve client satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Execute creative concepts that are on strategy across all media channels (digital, direct mail, print, TV, radio, etc).
  • Generate breakthrough ideas and constantly strive for new, better, more innovative solutions.
  • Ability to handle more than one assignment at a time.
  • Basic ability to think strategically.
  • Manage workflow efficiently and take responsibility for timing and delivery.
  • Develop great work within the guidelines and budget of the assignment.
  • Work collaboratively with creative partners, and other members of creative and core departments.

  • Read mechanicals and perform other pre-production tasks related to their projects.

  • Stay current with changes in technology and demonstrate technical competence.
  • Works closely with the project’s Art Director to create a piece that employs effective marketing strategies and meets the client’s objective
  • Works with Art Director to keep the project moving according to schedules
  • Handles and coordinates the day-to-day copy needs of clients
  • Ensures internal and external deadlines are met
  • Assists in writing copy for key strategic campaigns/projects and new business presentations
  • Works with Art Director to draw up Creative budget estimates
  • Works with Account Services to ensure that the client’s objectives are being met
  • Develops skills necessary for advancement

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years experience in the multicultural advertising discipline
  • Experience regarding all aspects of multicultural marketing campaigns; predominantly Hispanic
  • Fluency in Spanish required
  • Must have a strong portfolio primarily of produced work and some spec work.
  • Ability to write short and long copy.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in current Creative software suite
