About the Internship
This internship provides support in HR operational functional responsibilities in some or all the following areas: Payroll, HR Reporting, Onboarding, HRIS Administration, Recruiting, Communications, Employee support, and Employee Engagement Activities.

The internship is a 3-month temporary assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides general support to HR Director and HR Sr. Generalist
  • Assists with onboarding and new employee orientations, and benefits open enrollments
  • Monitors, maintains, and processes monthly new hire and status changes
  • Participates in safety compliance and monitoring, CA Covid-19 process and reporting requirements, and operational team member education and communication
  • Escalates the resolution of HR questions, issues, and requests to the HR Director for guidance and or final resolution through the appropriate channels.
  • Prepares regular and special reports using HRIS
  • Maintains employee information and personnel files
  • Make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, consistent with policies, practices and procedures, regulations, or laws.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or business-related field) with a concentration in Human Resources required: Recent 2022 undergraduates are preferred for this internship
  • Full-time availability is required as the work schedule is M-F (40 hours)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish experience preferred.
  • Excellent accuracy, and strong analytical skills with intermediate knowledge of Excel, and other Microsoft products in general.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, and the ability to listen, and question.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent judgment and diplomacy in all interactions.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.

This position is based in Costa Mesa, CA; hybrid schedule 2-days in office
