Position based in Detroit, MI

The Social Media Manager will provide strategic guidance, channel management & activation of social media and digital campaigns on behalf of our automotive clients. Will directly manage a team of Social Media assistants and/or Analysts and collaborate with the Account, Strategy, and Creative team in delivering and exceeding client expectations. Must be a self-starter and possess in-depth knowledge of social media platforms, digital landscape, and emerging mobile trends.


Responsibilities/Skills Needed

  • Manage and lead relationships with Social Media clients and partner agencies.
  • Act as an expert for all things digital and social media for the assigned account.
  • Act as a resource to team members in facilitating direction and comprehensive feedback received from clients and partner agencies when required.
  • Collaborate with National and Regional teams (Internally and Cross-agencies) to create social media tactics, digital content production, and social assets management.
  • Collaborate in the social content development process, from strategy creation, reviewing & approvals route, as well as handoff the final materials to the correspondent partner agencies teams through the platforms provided by the client for the agency to use.
  • Present clear, confident, poignant POV’s (written and spoken) and ensure key information is delivered appropriately
  • Create and follow up on project timelines (Including social content production, Influencers management, digital activations, OLA, and data & analytics deliveries)
  • Participate actively and collaborate in overall strategy sessions and tasks to provide support in Briefs development and other deliveries, such as trends detection, competitive analysis, and market insights.
  • Work closely with agency partners in approvals and review processes
  • Understand Brand guidelines to assist in content QA before publishing in a live social media environment.

Requirements

  • 6+years of experience in social media, digital media planning, and/or marketing
  • Must be fully bilingual in Spanish/English – spoken and written
  • Proven success in managing social media campaigns
  • Expert knowledge of social networks and digital trends
  • Experience in social monitoring tools desired, such as Brandwatch, Sysomos, Socialbakers, Unmetric, Sprinklr, or Sprout Social. Proven working experience with social content management tools (Hootsuite, Khoros, or Sprout Social)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams (direct management experience a must, matrixed and cross-functionally, a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills in order to coordinate many functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for the automotive industry is a plus
  • Hispanic/Multicultural experience preferred
