Position Duties

The Social Media Manager will provide strategic guidance, channel management and activation of social media campaigns on behalf of our automobile clients. He/she will support the Director of Social Media. Work closely with Account Services, Creative and Interactive departments on identifying key audiences and channels, market-specific value propositions, key messages, and account planning. Perform industry research and reporting, develop key KPIs and model for program evaluation. Manage and update editorial calendar(s), content creation and scope planning. Responsible for campaign budgets, promotions, media and overall successes (based upon clearly defined and adhered-to KPIs). Work with account Executives and Senior Staff on new business pitches. Act as expert for all things social media for the assigned account. Maintain awareness of social technology & related trends. Work with the Social Media Marketing Services and Operations teams to ensure fluid communications. Manage multiple deadlines and troubleshoot problems in real time, refining processes in real time to ensure they do not occur again in the future.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field, plus four (4) years of experience in social media, digital media planning and/or marketing. Also requires 2 years’ experience managing social media campaigns for automotive and retail clients, 3 years experience managing social media campaigns for Hispanic audiences, and demonstrated knowledge of or experience in the following:
  • Using and building social media listening tools and measurement tools, including Brandwatch, Unmetric, Influence, Tableu, Opal, Buzzsumo, OLA, OLV and paid social analytics to determine appropriate messaging and opportunities for clients
  • Developing social media plans for clients that include goals, specific campaign strategies, recommended tools, budgets and timelines
  • Social monitoring tools (building search queries, creating dashboards and reporting)
  • Professional engagement in social networks including Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, digital media, online forums and blogging
  • Proficiency in Excel, managing databases and data visualization, and PowerPoint to build presentations

Rate of Pay: $80,000 per year.
